PLAYER REGISTRATION INFO:
The 2018 season is almost here, and registration is now open! Early Registration deadline is February 28, 2018. For returning players in Novice, Peewee, Bantam and Midget registered by this date, the registration fee is $180. The season fee increases to $220 after February 28, 2018. First time Lacrosse players and returning Tyke and Mini Tyke players only pay $100. **NEW** Online registration is now open and our new preferred option. This online registration is a new system for us; please be patient with us as we transition.
If you prefer a paper registration, please pick up and return a paper registration form and waiver at the following locations: - Castlegar Community Complex - Gerrick Sports in Trail - Mallards Source for Sports in Castlegar or Nelson. Skills Development Camp:
This years camp will be March 10, 2018. Everyone is welcome at the camp, including new players wanting to try the sport and experienced players looking to refresh their skills for the start of the season. This year the camp will be held at the Selkirk College Gym in Castlegar. Please see the "2018 Season" tab on this site for detailed times for each age group. For your convenience, we have created a document that you can download and save to your device with this schedule. What you need to bring to the camp: - good runners - helmet with full cage - hockey or lacrosse gloves If your player does not have a stick, WKMLA will provide loaner sticks for the players to try the camp. West Kooteany Minor Lacrosse is always looking for volunteers to help out with coaching, door staff, fundraising and also the executive. The coaching clinics are planned for March 10, 2018. WKMLA is looking for referees for our April 15 league games and our year-end Tyke & Novice jamboree on June 22-24. The referee clinic is on April 7 at the Castlegar Complex and all referees must take the clinic annually. WKMLA is also looking for a Referee in Chief to join our Board of Directors at the AGM on February 25.
